Our favorite work involves designing native plant installations for restoration projects, from backyard conversions to mitigation for residential, industrial, or commercial developments. Our specialty deliverables include assistance with Endangered Species Act (ESA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, including Section 7 consultation, critical area assessments, and other local, county, and federal rules. Rootstock Ecology develops creative mitigation solutions for avoiding, minimizing, and offsetting unavoidable impacts from proposed/prospective projects.
Outside of NEPA and ESA compliance services, we enjoy wetland studies where you get to play in the mud digging holes delineating, or sitting/standing at your desk developing mitigation banks and processing joint permit applications (JPAs) with Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Oregon Department of State Lands (DSL) for removal/fill activities in wetlands and waterways.
